Is the wave cycle on the aquatronica a simple on/off device, or does it reduce the speed of a pump slowly?

In other words is it similar to the tunze controllers which keep the pump turning slowly to prevent fish/inverts moving  in when the pump is stopped.

Hi,

The Aquatronica is only able to turn pumps on and off, not control their speed. The Tunze controllers work in a very different way, using lower DC voltages.
