Bent Density Probe!

Hi. When I removed the sleave from my density probe, i noticed it was bent rather than straight. Is this normal? According to a marine web forum it should be straight and my probe needs replacing. Please can you confirm. Regards, Will

Hi willb,

the density probe can be not perfectly stright, if it's too much bent it can be that needs to be replaced.

Hi Will,

I think the only thing you can see is the place of the metal rings, if the probe is much curved the rings are narrow... more then they need.... and if their position is different the value they read is not real.
